chapter four

Interior

The interior is the most intimate dimension of a person, and of a building.

The exterior is visible to all; the interior requires permission.

To design an interior means to delve into the soul of those who will inhabit it:

to better understand their deepest needs, their secret visions, and the dreams they do not even confess to themselves.

It is not about imposing a cold style or a fleeting luxury that would be a betrayal, an affront to the human essence.

An interior must tell the story of its inhabitant: scattered books that reveal hidden passions, inherited objects that carry the weight of generations, colors chosen not for fashion, but for the comfort of the soul.
